This coming Saturday evening (July 8th), after the 4pm Mass, we’ll have a barbeque for the Crossroads Pro Life Walkers. They are making their way across the country witnessing to the dignity of human life, from natural conception to natural death.
Bring some meat to cook and a dish to pass to the rectory before Mass and join us after. Come meet the walkers.
Joining us for that barbeque will be the TOTUS TUUS team serving the children, and young people from Coronation, and their friends in the upcoming week.
The second team may also join us (they’ll be serving at another parish). Please come and meet the team that will be serving our children and young people and be sure to sign up for the week-long program. Call the parish office or see the parish website for the forms.
This coming Tuesday we will celebrate Independence Day; the 4th of July. I have great memories of that day gathering with my family at the curb side of Main Street in my home town – Racine, Wisconsin – early in the morning, waiting for the parade to begin! We have so much to be thankful in our country and we see new peoples arriving still because of the life possible here.
May Coronation be a family that is always respectful of life and the young; our future. May we also be a family always welcoming new peoples, with the idea of learning and sharing the best each heritage brings. The Christian virtues, fortified by prayer and the sacraments, are the greatest way to continue to evangelize this great land.
